Self-Defense Course for Women:

This class is designed to train Women to be more comfortable with handguns, Concealed carry options for Women, Range practice that includes carrying, drawing , firing and reloading their firearms, Role playing scenarios and the Do’s & Don’ts of safety & legal issues. Additionally, there will be demonstrations of non-lethal self defense weapons including: Stun guns, Pepper sprays, Extendable batons etc. Finally, there will be a 2-hour block of instruction on personal, unarmed physical self defense that will be conducted by Army Ranger & certified Martial Arts Master/Sensei, Stephen Ewing. All ages are welcome (18 & over). Nobody will be thrown to the ground or asked to do anything that involves wrestling or aggressive behavior.

Personal Protection in the Home:

Personal Protection in the Home is another NRA designed class. It is an 8-hour class that specializes in defending your home in an appropriate & legal manner. The class includes instruction in:

• Firearms safety
• Identifying potential risks & threats
• Legal issues
• Planning for the worst scenario
• Creating a “Safe Room” as the center of your defensive plan
• Role playing using various scenarios
• Techniques for storing firearms so that they can be used in case of an emergency
• Creating an “Exit Strategy”

This class was also developed by the NRA in order to familiarize the student with the mindset and techniques to protect themselves in their home against all possible threats in a legal manner.
